Synopsis
Senkuu has made it his goal to bring back two million years of human achievement and revive the entirety of those turned to statues. However, one man stands in his way: Tsukasa Shishiou, who believes that only the fittest of those petrified should be revived. As the snow melts and spring approaches, Senkuu and his allies in Ishigami Village finish the preparations for their attack on the Tsukasa Empire. With a reinvented cell phone model now at their disposal, the Kingdom of Science is ready to launch its newest scheme to recruit the sizable numbers of Tsukasa's army to their side. However, it is a race against time; for every day the Kingdom of Science spends perfecting their inventions, the empire rapidly grows in number. Reuniting with old friends and gaining new allies, Senkuu and the Kingdom of Science must stop Tsukasa's forces in order to fulfill their goal of restoring humanity and all its creations. With the two sides each in pursuit of their ideal world, the Stone Wars have now begun! [Written by MAL Rewrite]

So.... this got worse. In season one protagonist-kun woke up in a world that was thrown back to the stone age and had to use SCIENCE to everything. Fine, whatever. I can suspend my disbelief. The whole point of a show is to be entertaining and season 1, for all it's flaws, did that. Season two however missed the mark. Suspension of disbelief only goes so far. while in season one the "inventions" where somewhat of a reach you could still just shrug them off as eeeeeeeh maybe it's possible. Not in this season though, it's just too much to swallow. What's worse is that most of the timeit's not necessary and clearly there for the flash factor. Because this or that is cool the author looked up it's wiki page, chewed on it for like a minute, then threw it all up over the page. The characters also got worse, they were one note and very much Senkuu's cheerleaders but now that's even more obvious. Any individuality or urgency they had is gone. It's all for Protagonist-kun now. Tsukasa was a bit meh as a villain in season 1. Here the author tries the "oh he not bad, he tragic backstowy. Puw wittle guy." Yeah, no. It doesn't work. For a show about SCIENCE it's hilarious to confuse coma with suspended animation. If you're in a coma your body will still grow... your muscles will atrophy and probably stiffen without proper physiotherapy but you will not stop aging. I swear the sick baby sister backstory made me chuckle a little. it came out of nowhere, it made no sense, it was hilariously wrong, it resolved all within the 3 minutes before the episodes Opening credits. How am I supposed to take this seriously as an emotional moment? Animation also took a hit in this season, A step down with so many obvious budget cutting techniques it was distracting. Overall this one was rather bad. I can see it appealing to a younger age group though but for me, I'm stopping here.

AhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Was this season incredible! I am not kidding when I say each season had me screaming by the end of it. There was so much tension build up, character development, and deeply heartwarming moments. And of course the humor that absolutely cracks me up (Personally after watching both I feel the dub is a bit better as more of the jokes land better for me). A lot of new characters are introduced as well and they are so much fun to learn about. One of the things I loved most was at the most intense battles, they made them last an appropriate amount oftime. A lot of Shonen has the habit of making a single battle last like 45 episodes and by the end you just want it all the end. Not this show. They have it last long enough that you get to see what's going on while at the same time not so long that I'm going to get bored. If you haven't watched this yet, go and do it. You will not be disappointed in the slightest

I will preface this by saying I have over 200 anime watched and this is the only time I have ever felt compelled to write a review. Spoilers 1. The Science (mostly nitpicking but still annoying) -They have an unlimited supply of any resource they make once -Food and clean water are not mentioned beyond "lets make a ramen stand" -Everyone in the Village would have gotten sick from not having immunity to illnesses within those who where rocks.-Senku randomly gets plastic unexplained when making carbon fiber plating for his literal tank -They make all the paper required to cover a car sized vehicle with thick carbon plating in a short time frame, paper takes time to dry out when processing -The blacksmith just casually makes extremely difficult things to smith that required hundreds if not thousands for humans to perfect (Parabola, springs of numerous types, katana, axels and wheels, flasks, vacuum tubes) 2. Plot/Story The story pretty much progresses exactly how you would expect it to progress for any shonen, but with the reveal of Tsukasa's motives it makes all of his actions up until the end of season two questionable at best. If Tsukasa wants to bring his sister back and even knows where she is, has the revival fluid, and knows that it heals wounds, why would he not just bring her back? Why would he waste a year developing a literal small army with it instead? And besides that, why does he think he is purifying the world, science kept his brain dead sister alive for a long ass time and then brought her back, there is no reason he would have a vendetta against it AND not even bring his sister back. The thing that really is irritating is that they somehow decided to resolve the conflict with this background story that doesn't even make sense. and that aside, how does Senku know about his sister? And how does Tsukasa go from "my sister is dying I need to save her" to "I am going to kill these statues that represent the lives of people I do not know"? Not only did this season have very little in terms of plot development, it also made the plot of the first season retrospectively worse. There was no elaboration on an of the loose ends left from season one either, they never address any questions like "why was everyone turned to stone" or even hint at resolving that or issues like it, it is like the writers just forgot about that entirely. 3. Characters As I mentioned, Tsukasa's writing doesn't make sense. On top of this they try to have the viewer sympathize with him. Again, his motives are completely contradictory to what he is ideologically stating, if he wants to save the world from corruption why would he instill himself as an authoritarian facist dictator who literally kills people before they ever have even a chance to try and defend themselves. It felt like the writers couldnt figure out how to reasonably make science even comparable with brute strength so they gave a lot of the antagonists basically superhuman abilities, this is fine because it is a shonen anime, but I think they really had a great opportunity to do something interesting here but chose to put a character cliche in instead which is slightly disappointing. Chrome is the only character who does anything interesting this season outside of borderline superhuman powers or unreasonably over simplified science. Good job Chrome, proud of you. Tsukasa's minions also had some back stories but it doesn't go in depth enough to matter and since they are new characters anyways, they basically just feel flat, and the questionable motivation comes up for most of them too but on a much lesser scale. Most of the villagers just kind of exist and agree with whatever Senku does without even a second of time to cover it. He moved their entire village that had been established there for over 3000 years right next to an enemy army for the sake of one person he is friends with, who ultimately didn't even need his help... Not a single villager objects to this, despite that he is the cause of the war, is going in unprepared, and could be considered as lacking the conviction to even kill Tsukasa, which would end this entire conflict if either one of them were to die. Again it just feels like missed opportunities everywhere for more interesting plot and character development. 4. Overall This season was quite bad, it ruined a lot of the setup from the first season and instead of making interesting plot points, basically picked to implement every possible cliche instead. I dont know how this has an average score above 8 honestly, it is some of the worst writing I have seen recently. Not terrible, but just fails to accomplish anything that season 1 implemented or had. Expect a subpar shonen that used to have good world building from Stone Wars.

Mediocre Wasted Potential Shounen - the anime. [SPOILERS AHEAD] So many problems with this, don't know where to start. I'll just tackle random issues that come to mind. This show comes so close to being woke but then just throws that out of the window. The whole Tsukasa anti-establishment anarchist utopia doesn't get explored at all. In the end, when Hyouga stabs Tsukasa, and mentions the Earth not being able to sustain 7 billion people is another moment that ruins any credibility to the happenings of season 1. Why would anarchists propose ecofascism? The world can't sustain 7 billion people (a lie) so let's just kill allthe worthless ones? Granted the entire idea behind Tsukasa's empire is horseshit, that slight glimpse of woke kept me intrigued - class issues aren't exactly the most prominent subjects in anime, especially one so mainstream, so I was surprised to see the subject being brought up in the first place. It's execution, however, is horseshit. It's sprinkled over the bare bones plot to give some lackluster reason to Tsukasa's ideal. And boy, the ideal it was. To quote Resident Evil 2 : " It's finally over " " No it's not " " You're right " An entire year of being hunted down, once even being killed, by a psychopath with a twisted view of human life, and it takes one b a c k s t o r y to just gloss over it all? This is an insult to everything that happens in season 1. Not only does Senku just 10 billion percent guess that Tsukasa has a comatose sister, but he also manages to find and revive her, successfully nullifying any of the events of season 1, I have to mention that again. Not only is this such a bullshit ass-pulled reason, but it also transfers all the bad-bad to Hyouga - suddenly he gets the Tsukasa psycho curse and becomes the baddie bad. The anime has a huge problem with it's perceived sense of realism. It tries to pass off both cartoonish exaggeration and realism at the same time, and that just makes things flow like nails. It took ages to make antibiotics but you build a tank in the span of an episode? You could put this off as just pacing issues, which it has a lot of, but the whole point of the anime was to portray realistic science or whatever. This just looks, sounds, and plays as hugely comical. This also clashes with the character interactions. The writing became 3x cringier for some reason - more romanticized science monologues, more "in this stone world?!", more repeated zingers and lines from boring background characters. And I think I've dragged the story enough in previous paragraphs. Which brings us to the characters. I have nothing to say here. And that's a pretty bad thing. They're extremely comical in contrast to the scientific/realist approach of the other half of the concept so, as I mentioned, these two clash and create a worse viewing experience than the avant garde Fire Force season 1 20 second long pauses between sentences. One last bone to pick, you can't convince me Tsukasa's sister wouldn't be in an even worse state than before simply from the intense emotional trauma of being comatose for 4000 years, realizing your parents are (practically) dead and so is everyone else you knew and loved, the entire world has changed, and now your brother dies as well and is being put in a freezer. She's mentally 6 years old but they just pass it off as something extremely normal and fine for her. Like what the hell? Anyway, season 1 was at least entertaining - it scratched that Age of Empires / Stranded 2 / Civilization itch as Senku got to win over the tribe and introduce some tech slowly. But the second season lacks everything it's predecessor had. A decent concept, good pacing, decent characters, decent flow. It has nothing. Except maybe pretty visuals. The art is really good. And the meta jokes are cute I guess. 5/10. Initially a 6 but as I wrote this I realized how bad it really is.

What a dissapointment.... Story: I might have forgotten but in my memory story of the first season seems pretty decent. For sure I can't say this about season two. Most of the inventions would have been either useless or not as important as 10 million other things. But yet they are still being used the most pretentious ways. It makes the anime look like a cheap circus IMO. I can't find almost anything good to say about the story here. Art: Art style is still good and unique. Sound: OP is great, ED is fine. Music in some scenes is just awesome. Character: Characters here are almost as badas the plot. One thing might explain it all: almost all the henchmen of Tsukasa willingly betrayed him when they had a chance. Worth mentioning that Tsukasa himself wasn't too sure about his worldview. That makes all the season worthless IMO. Enjoyment: I genuinely don't understand why so many people enjoy the show. I only find it worth watching in the company of friends and with some alcohol involved. Strangely I'm still going to check out the next season as I think the potentail of the anime is not fully wasted for now. Let's hope for the better. Overall: strong 2.

The main appeal of Dr. Stone is very similar to that of other anime such as Log Horizon, Overlord, No Game no Life, and That Time I reincarnated as a Slime: The civilization building aspect. It is aimed for people who find joy in seeing a character starting from the bottom and slowly building a better world for his friends and allies. It also has a videogame feel in how technology progresses, since the tech tree, sort of speaking, is about discovering something that unlocks something else. That can be very appealing to gamers who fancy the game mechanic of combining items and creating newskills. With that said, it’s also not a ground-breaking show or that well written. It has minimal tension in the challenges the protagonist faces and it is full of juvenile comedy, so it never comes off as, let’s say, Castaway (that movie starring Tom Hanks). It’s closer to Gilligan’s Island. It doesn’t show right away in the first season, since there were moments when Broccoli Boy (Senku) would be failing numerous times, or when he would need to spend months on something before there is progress. It was enough for giving a sense of struggle and how nothing is easily achieved. The second season doesn’t do that anymore, as Broccoli Boy does everything right and very fast, thus nothing is at stake. This is partly because Broccoli Boy wasn’t the main character in the first episodes. It was that generic friend of his, who didn’t know shit about SCIENCE! During the episodes when he was the protagonist, the show was way more like a proper action/survival. Then it changed to a silly comedy running on easy mode. What that basically means is that you shouldn’t go into Dr. Stone expecting great action and suspense. Everything in it is easy-going and becomes almost like a feel-good anime. The second season is called Stone Wars and there is no war in it. The battle was won with zero casualties through SCIENCE! and mind games, rather than brute force, which comes off as anticlimactic, but also somewhat intellectual. And I say somewhat, because it’s not that smart of a show either. It doesn’t have the thriller mind games of anime such as Death Note or Kaiji. It’s just that it does its best to solve its problems in peaceful and often comical ways, which, as I said above, kill all the tension and make the show to be quite breezy with its conflicts. This wouldn’t be much of a problem if it didn’t go against the core theme of the show, which is showing how brutal life can be without the conveniences of SCIENCE! and therefore needing SCIENCE! so it won’t be that brutal. Without having any stakes, there is nothing to risk and there is no clear indication as to why technology is that much of a big deal when the primitive natives are living on Gilligan’s Island. In fact, the show is so breezy it doesn’t even bother to show the negative aspects of SCIENCE! and thus comes off as hypocritical whenever it is celebrated in a one-sided way. Technology can be just as devastating as it is helpful, and yet that aspect doesn’t show anywhere. And yes, there are still lots of situations where they make it seem like someone is going to die or that things are very grim, but it’s always proven to be fake tension, since Broccoli Boy is solving everything too easily. You cannot take it lightly when the show itself doesn’t want you to take it lightly, thus it often comes off as hypocritical. What’s the point of having wars when they can’t kill anyone and nobody ever dies? Why have fake tension instead of just being prehistoric Lucky Star? Anyways, the proper way to enjoy this anime is to be in a mood for an easy-going feel-good show. It’s not serious or smart, as the civilization building aspect has nothing realistic about it, the characters are mouthpieces for exposition of the technology than actual people with depth or much of a personality, the conflict in nonexistent, science comes down to a videogame, and the fake tension is only making all that pretentious. Just don’t go around calling it a breath of fresh air, because unlike most anime it doesn’t have much violence. It’s not much of an excuse when you can just as easily say K-On is a breath of fresh air because it doesn’t have the violence of Berserk.

Ok, this was probably one of the best anime for this 1st quarter of 2021...shit , the Covid 19 ain't over yet....anywayz, I'll just get down to business: Story-Good 7: When you have a sequel that was set in some rebooted stone age, where there will be a face off between brains of team Senku vs brawns of team Tsukasa , you're suppose to bound to get some action, much to my dismay it somewhat never happened and thing simply just ends in a good note.....but, I just can't fathom as to how pathetic the original creator, Inagaki Riichiro, has with some of Senku's invention likea cellphone where it don't look like a cell phone , rather it was more like a two way radio, and the car or tank that was nothing more than a steam locomotive build to run on the ground, IMAO, either all that work has made him a dumb boy or he was just making the main character Senku Ishigami exaggerate. Art-Poor 3: Though, this series doesn't rely on the fanservices to sell, the illustrations were just damn too dirty. Sound Poor 3: I'll never understand as to what's going on the minds of the studio exe from TMS Entertainment as to why they've chose mature sounding seiyuus to voiced them characters. Character-Mediocre 5 : Ok so in general we got whole gang back and some new side characters, in general they did what was expected in a sequel. But, just like in the sequel, the characters themselves still have their usual annoying traits , like Senku who invents things that seemly were contrary to what the inventions were, Tsukasa whom at one point has this very dictatorial tendency at one point and becomes this very logical guy next. Enjoyment-Good 7: Despite of only running for 11 episodes, I can say that it was all worth it. Overall- Very Good 8: Given that this could be the ending of the series, it looks like a 3rd sequel, so I'd say, why not.....btw highly recommended , if you don't mind the short comings.

Dr. Stone: Stone Wars is such a fun anime to watch, and a great continuation to the first season. Coming off the hype from Dr. Stone this second season is just more of the same fun found in the first one. The stakes feel higher this season and it really does a good job showcasing the characters preparing for war, and even then, it manages this to look super fun. Even with such a serious plot this time around the anime still manages to keep the fun parts and it knows when to not take itself to seriously. This season, just like the first one, makes youfeel really accomplished as the plot advances. As Senkuu advances the Kingdom of Science's technology you feel like you're there with them in the excitement, it's a really exciting and exhilarating experience. It's a fun watch, as always, if you liked the first season, you're gonna love this one. 10 billion/10

Dr. Stone prove himself as one of the shounens of this year in this great arc. TMS Entertainment knows how to do their animation be part of the context of the anime, such as they did in Kanojo Okarishimasu and D. Gray Man, and this happens because they know the potential of each story and each arc. The Stone Wars was specifically the moment of development of both protagonist and antagonist at the same pace of the story and the mysteries around the petrification. If I could use one word to define this without spoilers would be "duel". The duel between strength and science, of knowledgeand mystery, of friendship and helpers. Because of that, Dr. Stone shows to us great characters that are so charismatic, that the watchers can't even hate one of then, even if are the antagonists. The enjoyment of this season and this arc and specific, just prove why Dr. Stone is so loved by many readers and watchers (as me) around the globe. It very worthy do watch it, because it's a story of duality and how opposites aren't 100% wrong on what they think and want.

Dr. Stone: Stone Wars (2021) Whilst it is not an exceptional show it is definitely a great watch and holds very good consistency. First off, the show is supposed to be wacky and funny and isn't all exactly correct in how things are done or the level of success they receive. The show is also a great watch since you don't have to concentrate too hard. This season the Stone Wars may seem short but that is better than overinflating the season. The story is very much the same structure as before which is great. The artwork is maybe slightly plusher but if not exactly thesame but that is great too. It holds a very consistent image. The OP is pretty good and the ED also follows in good form. Generally sound is awesome and well done which is not always something seen so much. The characters develop more and we get a load of side character expansion and plenty of new faces. Some of the 'grunts' are very grunt like. With the style of animation, it is hard to call anyone particularly cute. The show is fun for the whole ride and the whole family can enjoy this one too. You need not worry about awkward ecchi scenes but can enjoy a pretty straight forward science-based show. It is maybe not as good as the first season since that was longer and much more story was told. 9/10. Roll on season 3.

in my opinion there is nothing less than this anime. Everything looks so perfect and the ending is really good. What is special about this anime is that when it is really serious it can be funny and dramatic and very different from other comedy drama anime. This is the best and very good animation everything looks interesting, beautiful, handsome, and not boring. All characters have a funny part, especially when funny faces are shown really funny. Really shows different but perfect facial expressions. It will be a loss if you don't watch this anime. Thank you season 2, look forward to season 3 :)

Very funny, dramatic like few others. The truth is very good second season I hope there are more seasons. I really liked how you introduce the new characters and since nobody has the same personality, they are all very different. I don't know what else to say if you saw the first one, it's the same only better. If you haven't seen the first season yet, I don't know what you're doing.

*This review was written after watching all eleven episodes of Dr Stone and may contain some spoilers * I’ll admit that the second season was much better than the first, however the anime is still not that great and could be improved on. It has still it’s major flaws mentioned by Krunchyman on the first season of Dr.Stone regarding how the show loves to over exaggerate things and put it way over the top. Character development in this show is literally non-existent and does not stay consistent with one person. Not only this, but many of the episode scenes were rushed and did not felt meaningfulto the viewer. An example of this is when Tsukasa and Hyoga were fighting against Senku and the group (Some of them joined from Tsukasa’s plan) but suddenly later on in the episode, we see Hyoga betraying Tsukasa to get the upper hand, so that he can take control and be the powerful leader he desires to be. We do not see any logical justification why he is unexpectedly backstabbing him now. Not in the least. We know that Tsukasa purpose in the first place to destroying the statue was so that as stated by himself is “We can dismiss the established powers who do nothing but take from the young nots and a create a new world” Hyoga dismisses Tsukasa ideology and plan as anything but absurd as apparently “if we’re left with nothing but brain dead youths, we still be taken from in order to keep them fed” yet his logic is to allow only the elites to survive is such a naive plan and does not make any sense because how does he not know that these “Elites” could end up backstabbing him later on and want everything for themselves, just like how he is doing with Tsukasa. Moreover, I did not feel anything when it came to Tsukasa Death or when his sister Mirai came back alive because the show does not like to put any emphasis on this. Also, characters like Taiju and Yuziraha are barely ever talked about. Do we even care about them anymore at this point? Another ridiculously ludicrous thing we see in the show is how the characters are so quickly swayed that they practically abandon Tsukasa's army like flies to join Senku to be a part of a "Science revolution." Nikki san's undying love for Lillian Weinberg Music and how it supported her throughout her former school life was the only one that I really enjoyed, made sense, and felt meaningful as to why she left to join Senku. But when it comes to Ukyo’s turn, you can tell that the anime studio rushed it and had to come up with something on the last spot. Because suddenly he’s a kind-hearted person and doesn’t want anyone to die? Lol, give me a break. The anime can do WAY better than this. It’s just so disappointing. Despite this, characters like Mentalist Gen contributed majorly to the show and is entertaining to watch. Overall, character developments and story are mediocre at best in this season. The only good aspects of this anime is that viewers are interested how Senku is going to bring the stone age back to modern civilization using the different sort of inventions he is creating with his kingdom of science buddies. The way the anime studio (TMS Entertainment) executes how Senku does these inventions along with the comedy is quite ingenious and something I will give credit for. When it comes to Art and sound, Dr. Stone has its own distinct and vivid style, and it is a good one. Just like the first season, this show is 5 billion percent average and if you agree with me on this, 10 billion points to you - *High fives*. Anyways, I just hope that they can take the character development a bit more seriously in the upcoming season 3 and that the story doesn’t get into conflict as much as when it comes to the philosophical views between the protagonist and the antagonist; like it did with this season.

Honestly, I feel like I'm going crazy seeing the general reactions everyone has about this show. It is possible that everyone who isn't a complete fanboy has already dropped it, but I thought Season 1 was decent enough for me to give Season 2 a shot. For an action shounen which set up this season as a big war between the two factions of the story, the action is unbelievably underwhelming. The battle scenes are awkwardly directed, the tension is non-existent since every fight gets resolved in an instant, and the animation/sound are serviceable at best. This series' strong suit has always been the cute ways Senkuuuses science in order to solve problems, and while there is a decent amount of that in this season too, it's not enough to make up where the show is lacking (every other department). It seems like this show was made to just appeal to the kids who paid attention in science class during middle-school. Other popular shounen series haven't exactly set the bar too high in terms of characters/dialog/story etc. but Dr. Stone somehow manages to not even meet my fairly low expectations. The characters are bland and have no chemistry at all, the villains' motivations seem convoluted at first but eventually you realize that the author just didn't think about it all that much, and Tsukasa's backstory is the first time a piece of media has made me laugh at a little girl being in a coma. Lastly, the humor is just bad. This show is not funny (at least not intentionally).

Oh, it's already over? Goddamnit. I want more already -- and it just ended on me like that. But, I'll review it in my sorrow this season of Dr. Stone, (if you're perhaps looking for a review to know whether or not Dr. Stone is worth it? It is. Get on it) so okay, let's get on to it. But before I begin, Dr. Stone can most certainly be described as cliche or their talks can be bloated at times, though thats a bit rare. But it certainly makes up for it. ~Story (7.5/10): Dr. Stone's story, plot, whatever you wanna call it is, generally speaking, is a goodplot. Nothing so profound, it isn't something so deep or thought-provoking you'd have to think for a good few minutes to digest the episode. Rather, when an episode ends, or for me at least, I just feel a rather gratifying feeling, For Dr. Stone, you should seriously expect things to be done with science, and always that. But the thing is, it's realistic, it isn't something they're pulling out of their ass. All things in Dr. Stone are definitely plausible and can be done in real life (some things shouldn't be mimicked in real life, but it really does work!). Which is one thing I absolutely do love about Dr. Stone. Dr. Stone can execute such a simple story, effectively, along with maybe some of the best pacing you'll see in awhile, the pacing never feels off nor is there ever things done superfluously, it's all very sufficient. It all makes sense Though, it kicks off pretty much right where the first season ended, I would give a quick summary of the first season for those who forgot, wanted to see it written down or whatever, I don't know. However, I don't need to, we had Gen **personally**, explain it to us in the first episode. I don't care what anybody says, that was NOT a waste of the first 3 minutes and 30 seconds. Thanks Gen. ~ HOWEVER, there's only one MAIN issue with the Dr. Stone. It's too damn short, you may argue "But bro, it's like 21 minutes (excluding op&ed) of content, what do you mean?" Well, valid point. But shut up. Please. I just love Dr. Stone and want more contenttt. As Ellenwitch put it in their preliminary review for this season, "Stone Wars keeps you interested, only wishing that it wasn't 24mins long, and was much longer, as you'll be wanting the next episode to come out as soon as the one you are watching is finished. We're all sitting here on the edge of our sea[t], anticipating to see how the Stone Wars end." -- and also to see the next season come out preferably the next day. Though, that might be a bit taxing on the animators or there might not be enough content for another cour, yet. ~Art (7/10): The art in Dr. Stone is pretty great.. and weak, this season definitely has improvements compared to last. I'm glad it's more consistent, however, I don't like how sometimes is just consistent then the next moment, not so much. The art in the OP looks great though, I don't have much to talk about this here, but all-in-all, they did a great job, there are times where the art definitely is an easy 8/10, for example, most of ep 8&10, and other times, where it's a 2/10, and mainly for that I have to give it a 7. But the animators still did an amazing job overall. ~Sound (10/10): I don't need to explain, do I? The OSTs? AMAZING! The VAs? ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, IF NOT, PERFECT ACTUALLY! THE OP AND ED? THEYRE RELAXING. MAYBE OP3 ISNT AS GREAT AS OP 1 OR 2, BUT IT'S STILL DAMN NICE. THE ED? SO DAMN GOOD. But I wanna say: Great job to the VAs for doing an such a perfect job portraying the characters. Like Senkuu for example, when he finally heard that big oaf's voice over da phone, and aswell as him being a scumbag, his VA acted him out perfectly. There are times where it isn't a 10/10, but that's quite rare. If you're looking for amazing quality in terms of sound overall and with the VAs and more. Dr. Stone is where it's at, 10/10 overall. ~Characters (8/10): Pretty much the same old characters we should all love. But Dr. Stone truly has shown some sides of the characters we didn't see before... and just managed to make us like them even more than before! Some of the noteworthy ones is the man himself, SENKUU!! You can't forget Gen, Chrome, Kohaku, and Tsukasa. Would've said Ukyou too, but we barely got to even meet him. Overall, all the characters may not be so realistic, but they're all pretty great. Love the dynamic and all that stuff. All you need to know is, Dr. Stone = great lol ~Enjoyment (9.5/10): Not even Senkuu's science can explain how 20 minutes go by in 5! ~ Overall (8.5/10) Definitely better than last, especially episodes 8-11. Easily 9/10. But that concludes my review, thought I did alright for this. Hope y’all enjoyed, have a nice day. Different opinions are welcomed

Jesus Christ I love this show, I had a blast since I started watching it in 2019, it's been 2 years and the show keeps getting better and better. STORY: 10/10 So this season and the last the bad guy was Tsukasa, but now that he's gone I have no clue what the hell they're gonna do, I mean, whatever the case is I can't wait to see the next season. Never seen anything like this done before, and I actually hope no other anime does something like this, not only because I think it will never be as good as this, but also because I wantthis to be the only one of it's kind. ART: 10/10 So the art is decent, BUUT because I loved how they made that one element that I'm too dumb to remember the name of in to a cure waifuu it's a 10. SOUND: 10/10 I never heard a bad sounding anime, well if they mean the voice acting nothing wrong here dub and sub are good. CHARACTERS: 10/10 good stuff, love Senkus catchphrases so there's a 10 billion percent chance that I will give this a 10. ENJOYMENT: 10/10 Do I really have to explain why? OVERALL: 1,000,000,000/10 I love this stuff/now I know how to make an explosive device.

Before I start this review, I must say that I have never been the biggest fan of the Dr. Stone anime. While I felt that the first season was solid, I was underwhelmed. I always felt that despite having an interesting premise and a good gimmick of watching someone create modern technology in a stone age, this adaptation fails to improve upon the source material. I haven’t even read the manga, but I can tell pretty clearly how the manga panels would look given the layouts and frames of this adaptation. This second season of Dr. Stone does nothing to change this flaw and even fails tolive up to the first season due to a really fast pace that takes away the best aspect of Dr. Stone. The process of creation. What makes Dr. Stone so unique and appealing to a wide audience is how it shows Senku creating modern technology using basic materials. The audience feels like they are learning something and they get to experience the pleasure of it being completed without experiencing the labor and effort put in to actually create it. While this took a prominent role in the first season, it is all but gone in this one. For most of the scientific creations, we do not see the process of it being made. Instead, we get Senku pitching the idea a quick highlight reel of them creating it (if even that), or we see the creation as it is completed and the process for making it is quickly summarized after the fact. The problem with doing this is that we do not get a reasonable understanding of how much time it took to complete the technology, how they were able to get all of the resources, or how exactly they created it. These factors are all very important for an anime ABOUT making modern science and technology in a primative time. It is necessary to establish some level of believability. My assumption is that we did not get such an in-depth look at the process for creating the technology because they had to focus on the actual war between Senku’s camp and Tsukasa’s camp. The only problem is that there is hardly any action in this war, and when there is action, this adaptation fails to bring the source material to life. For everyone expecting a big war between the two camps like in the cover poster or in promotional pictures, you will be disappointed. The war is more like a Cold War if anything. But when the fighting actually starts, the animation relies so much on static frames that there is nothing to get hyped over. During the fights, it is often confusing where everyone is in relation to each other and how much time is passing in the story world. While these things may be more forgiveable in a manga, they are deal-breaking in an anime. It only leads to confusion and a break in immersion from the anime. One last thing I want to talk about in this season specifically is how they handled Tsukasa’s character. *MINOR SPOILERS* in the rest of this paragraph, so skip to the next paragraph if you don’t want to know. I did not like how much they backtracked to make his character more likeable and sympathetic. This man destroyed statues of adults with the intent of killing them as an act of genocide. Changing his views or giving him a sob story does not change that. *END OF MINOR SPOILERS* Everything else in this season is very similar to the previous one, for better or worse. I still do not like the comedy in this series because it relies too much on a character making a “funny” face. While this may work better in the manga, the faces are always drawn out for too long and ruin what little shock value humor that they had. The art is still good for close-ups on characters, but the scenery is bland and generic. I still do like how unique the OST is with using older instruments, but it seems like they moved away from that a bit and used more modern instruments this time around. This series is one that usually leaves me disappointed by the end because of how its potential is wasted due to a poor adaptation. If you liked the first season, then you will probably like this one as well. If you didn’t like the first season, then I would not recommend watching it. The season after this one looks promising, so I may watch it when it airs. It is closer to a 6/10 than a 4/10

Overall: 8/10 Dr. Stone is basically a mix of those outrageous children's shows you'd watch as a kid with high school and university science; Bill Nye on crack in other words. And I love every aspect of it. The outrageous characters, the smooth animations, and overall interesting story: what happened that caused the entire Earth to get petrified? Dr. Stone has done everything it did well in the first season and then some. Good action, innovative and resourceful use of science, and great synergy between characters. But I think what separates Dr. Stone from most other anime is their ability to pace their episodes amazingly. Dr. Stoneis that one long-distance kid in middle school gym class racing against those hot-headed chumps who sprint the first 50m and pass out afterward. Thanks to this pacing, Dr. Stone never feels like a bore to watch and development is always happening, no matter how big or small. Story: 7/10 Dr. Stone doesn't have some profound, enriching story, but it has enough mystery to keep you entertained. So far, everything the show's introduced is grounded in realistic and entirely plausible science; as a result, we the audience know in advance that whatever secret there is behind the petrification, it won't be some hogwashed bullshit. Even supposed "deus-ex machinas" are very reasonable since we really don't know ANYTHING about the petrification device, meaning it can be effectively leveraged as a cure-all gimmick without seeming too over-the-top. Most importantly, Dr. Stone is able to execute this simple but effective story very well. The pacing always feels right; everything is being done for a purpose, and we rarely spend episodes where meaningful plot progression isn't made. This is already a huge up from most other anime, where they'll just plateau for 1 or 2 episodes before picking up steam again. Above all else, the story has done a great job of concluding this initial introductory arc and setting up the premise for the next one: to get their hands on a petrification device. That being said, I'm already looking forward to the amazing worldbuilding that's on the way as we look to branch outside of Japan. Art: 7/10 I'm a bit love-hate when it comes to Boichi's art style. Sometimes it looks really great, especially the designs for the guys. For some of the girls (looking at you Homura), it can come off as weird or even unsettling at times. Nothing you can do when you've been a hentai artist for most of your life I guess. Aside from that, the animation is crisp and solid; not the best this season but a pretty damn good job overall. Sound: 10/10 OP is fucking goated. No debate. ED is pretty damn good too, but I just love the OP's jazziness so much more. OST is great too, and always used to amazing effects: they help set the tone for every scene and interaction. VA is amazing as usual; I love how much the voice actors can get into their character and really appreciate all the effort they put in. You can hear how sly and seductive Gen sounds, or how pretentious and methodical Senku is. It really does bring Dr. Stone up to that next level and without it, Dr. Stone wouldn't be the same. Character: 7/10 Same old outrageous characters that we all know and love. A lot of people hate how the characters can't be taken seriously, especially Senku who "isn't realistic at all." They aren't really meant to be taken seriously. Senku's job is literally to serve as a proxy for humanity's knowledge of science. That's kinda the whole message the show is tryna preach you know. Now, were Tsukasa and Hyoga kinda cheap villains? Yea, but just like with Senku, the story isn't about some good guys triumphing over bad guys: it's about how amazing and powerful science can be. Enjoyment: 8/10 I fucking sucked at and hated chemistry in high school. SL Chem was absolute ass. But, I gotta admit that Dr. Stone does a great job of hyping science up and showing you how cool it can be. Also does a great job as an ego booster when they throw out the name of some organic molecule, theory, or application of chemistry that I know. Even if you don't understand everything going on, the show's still a great watch for its solid comedy, action, and chemistry (get it?) between their characters.

About 2 years ago marked the debut of Dr. Stone on television. It’s a breath of fresh air to see Boichi’s unique art being translated into anime form. Almost 2 years later, we are once again blessed by this scientific storyteller known as Dr. Stone: Stone Wars. If you’ve been a fan of this franchise, then here’s some great news for you. Adapting the ‘Stone Wars’ arc from the manga, this season runs less than half the length of the previous season. It makes sense given the amount of storytelling from the manga. Any more than that would actually make the show less consistent. And speakingof consistency, Stone Wars drop us right into the main story with Senku and his scientific mind. It takes a genius like him to think of ideas such as making space dried food and with help takes the fight right to Tsukasa. Again, I have to emphasize that Senku is a very intelligent individual with the characteristics of a leader. Plus, it also helps that he has the trust of his allies such as Kohaku, Chrome, Gen, Kaeski and among others. He’s a guy who is bold enough to take risks but also responds accordingly to different situations. Such traits makes Senku ideal to carry out dangerous operations. With the arc in full motion, there’s always time to also remind us the importance of the Stone War. Obviously, the show wants to prove a point and that is to showcase what science can really do in their timeline. Senku’s ability to craft complex inventions also shows that anything is possible. A prime example of this includes the steam engine. Dubbed as the Steam-Gorilla, it stands as a testament of scientific innovation. Sure, it’s not something mind-blowing that can change the fate of mankind. However, you have to admire that these characters were able to create something so complex with the tools they have. Of course, Senku is not the only character that embraces the love of science. Even Chrome, a guy with little scientific experience, preaches his newfound interest to characters such as Tsukasa. And really, I hope you’re a fan of Chrome this season because Stone Wars really puts him into a compromising position. With each episode progressing, it’s shown through the Stone Wars how characters fight their battles. Most noticeably is Senku and his ability to also use psychology as a source of weapon. He plays mind games with his opponents and throws them off with calculated moves. This show isn’t just superficial about science fiction. It also deals with the way characters execute their plans to keep fan engaged. Senku, Tsukasa, Hyoga and even Chrome are prime example of this. From the first half of the show, you can just see how much the author prepared for the big fight and even the aftermath. And indeed, one of the later episodes throws in together all the prominent characters into a physical clash and science warfare. It’s quite impressive to actually see inventions being put to use. The author could’ve easily had characters clash in a generic physical confrontation but Dr Stone is known for its creative innovations. Not everything is overly complex either such as dynamites and gunpowder being used as weapons. The key selling point is how every episode had its meaningful purpose in some way or another and not wasted. It does that by showing what characters can achieve through science. Because of the pacing and momentum, you may be wondering if there’s any concrete character development. The answer is sort of yes and no. On one hand, we do know more of about Tsukasa’s reason for fighting and even sees glimpses of his past. However, there are some characters this season that can easily be forgettable despite being there from the start. Oh yes, I’m talking about Tajiu and Yuzuriha. Does anyone even care about either character as pair anymore? Not me. The Stone Wars has been central point of this season that any sort of romantic development is practically null. It’s just 11 episodes but Dr. Stone: Stone Wars serves as an example of dazzling storyteller. It sells us what it advertises and remains faithful to the manga. With its established cast, we get to see first-hand on how much they put their skills to use. In the end, I didn’t even have a side to root for because the war itself isn’t just about who wins. It’s about making a world and how science can change mankind. And that’s an achievement I can’t help but praise for.

Dr.Stone is one of the most entertaining anime that made me feel accomplished after each episode. It is really satisfying seeing Senku and the others build modern things from scratch . This Season has the same feel as the first season which was obviously very Entertaining. A lot of new characters are introduced and each and every one of them are so cool. Story 9/10: The Story is Great and All of Senku's new inventions are pretty cool. We get to see things outside the village and The action is pretty good too.We even get to see more on Tsukasa's side and I really liked it. Art 9/10: The art ispretty nice too. What I like about the art is The color combinations used. It is really beautiful . The cracks on the characters faces are so unique and they bring more out of the surroundings. Sound 9/10: I really love this season's opening. It is really good and I cant move it out of my head. The OSTs are great too.I personally think Gen impersonating Lilian is the best. Character 9/10: There are a lot of new characters intoduced this season. Each and every one of them has got their own story . They all are looking great and have good voices. There is not much you can complain about. Enjoyment 9/10: This Season was pretty good just like the previous season which I really loved. The Character interaction,Personality, New inventions,Sound,Comedy and action were all on spot so I really enjoyed this season. Bye-Bye!!
