Synopsis
Having resolved the crisis in the Petrification Kingdom, Senkuu and his companions gear up to deal directly with the mastermind behind the petrification phenomenon—who supposedly resides on the moon. The ambitious spaceship project, however, requires immense manpower and critical resources scattered across the world. Thus, the Kingdom of Science exploration team kick-starts its transcontinental journey on the ship Perseus to gather them all. Equipped with modern technology and bolstered by the new, capable members in their ranks, the exploration team feels confident about setting sail to their first destination: America. They soon realize that the region now hosts adversaries controlling the resources they need, doing so with scientific technology which rivals and even exceeds their own. In a battle of science versus science, Senkuu and his team must outsmart their rivals if they are to have any chance of ensuring the continued survival and rejuvenation of humanity. right from the start, the 1st two filler eps dragged the whole thing down for me. then instead of jumping into the new story, it kinda just stalls. Not the best start. once the plot kicks in, tho, the science vs. science rivalry is honestly fun. but at the same time, the show still struggles with writing decent female characters. they just don’t get the same depth or imp. visually, the opening animation is one of the best the series has had but the song itself is pretty forgettable. Looks great, sounds meh. there are things i really liked and things i just couldn’t stand. for eg,luna falling for senku might be one of the dumbest things in the whole show. but them learning that Dr. Xeno helped Senku build his first rocket was actually a cool reveal. also senku getting shot should’ve been a huge dramatic moment but he disappears for just 1 ep and then comes back like nothing happened. zero tension. but i won’t lie, stanley and dr. xeno are pretty good villains, so that kept me invested. one big improvement tho, the animation looks way better this season. it’s noticeably more fluid and more polished than previous seasons, so at least the visual quality finally stepped up.

As ususual, Dr. Stone in general never dissappoints but this season I felt that the pacing was rushed. This anime could have had more seasons. (**Note** Never read manga so don't know much about whether the pacing is good as compared to manga but still this had potential and could have been continued I feel). Overall, Great anime especially in this day & time when there are very rare new anime concepts. This was one of the great & is one of the few anime that I watched after a long while. ART: Decent STORY: Great CONCEPT: Amazing CHARACTER DESIGN: Decent REALISM: OK Conclusion: People who are into roadmaps and areinto games like minecraft, Factorio & Stardew Valley.

I'll be quick about this. Dr. Stone: Science Future follows exactly after the last season, and it is not a letdown. It kept most of what the vibes of the last season intact, the comedy/humor the same, the art/animation in a good way. What's different is how the story took a different shape. In the past, Senku and his Little Kingdom of Science got knowledge and Science as an advantage. Now, it's Science vs Science. I gotta admit, the novelty of figuring things out has died down; there's less scientific discovery, less creative solutions. There's also some Deus Ex Machina that somewhat troubles. However, it is tradedby a higher stake in the story, more threats and danger. Essentially, it became akin to mind games between the two science geniuses, Senku vs Dr. X. I'd say this is a solid 8/10 if you're an OG Dr. Stone fan. Don't expect new scientific "breakthrough" though, but you can expect escalating narrative points.

This season managed to try something different to, without spoiling too much, the season ends up feeling like a mix of a more generic show mixed in with Dr. Stone. The pacing was mixed up, and the focus of the show was more on surviving than it was on the technology, developments, and the crux of Dr. Stone: How to make do with as little as possible knowing all you could possibly know (in theory). While there are moments of brilliance here and there, the focus of this season is simply to introduce a new antagonist, a different view point. It slows down in pacing halfwaythrough when it explains the new force's PoV but it doesn't overly divulge, instead giving sufficient context, Senku's contributions, and the modern state of who, what, when where and why, the why being extremely precise as it is elegant. I typically only reserve a 10 for a season I think is truly proper, and so while this came close, I give it a 9, which puts it head and shoulders in the top 5% of seasons I've seen of all time (and I've seen 300 shows, let alone seasons, so this one is a good one guys) so as harsh as I may come across, I'm still very impressed, if only a bit disappointed that this season didn't truly become elegant.

Another Dr. Stone season that I thoroughly enjoyed. This season, without getting into spoilers, is a head to head match up between two top tier scientists. You get to see how they're related, and most awesomely (is that a word?)- they try to one up each other with science. Well- not just science, but ingeniuty and resourcefulness. Dr. X is the new villain and I honeslty love him. The show does a great job building his character from the ground up. His motives/philosophy is questionable, but he is no doubt a genius like Senku. The chess match the two have back and forth was a joy towatch. One moment you think the other is winning, and bam! The other pulls an ace in the hole card. The support characters are all amazing as well. Gen, my bias, is hilarious and great as always. The warriors- Kohaku, Hyouga, Mozu, etc, get to shine as well. And the new bad guy muscle aka Stanley is an absolute badass. The show leaves on a cliff hanger, but I can't wait to see what he does in the future. Stanley is a surpringsly deep and complex character (similar to Mozu). The star of the show is of course Senku, and he is the best of the bunch. His ingeniuty is god-level. This season though, he is actually in real danger since season 1, but our boy pulls through. I really like his character's morality and philosphy. Senku just does science. That's all that matters. He's curious about the entire universe and wants to learn about everything. He leaves politics and ruling behind- because that's not something a true scientist has the right to enforce. The only negative is that- much like previous seasons you'll need a suspension of diselief to really like the show. The time jumps are all over the place. Like- they build structures that normally take months in weeks, no- days. Also, sometimes you don't know how much time has pass lol but I can accept it because the show isn't meant to be realistic in that sense, and the science behind it is awesome and pretty legit. Over all, if you like the previous seasons for sure you'll love this one too!

**spoiler free brief summary** Story This season didn’t fail to be entertaining, but it also didn’t live up to the bar set by the first season. On one hand, it does a good job of sticking to scientific principles, but on the other hand it cuts corners on how those breakthroughs actually come together. Because of this, the story doesn’t always add up with the events on screen. Over time, I started to lose track of what was happening, and that made me less invested in the unfolding plot. The show leans harder into a kind of over-the-top thriller, where the setups are extreme and the solutions haveto be equally overblown. That’s a shame, because the core ideas are genuinely interesting. They just get buried under pacing issues and missed opportunities. Characters The characters are caricatures, with exaggerated traits, but honestly that’s exactly what this anime needs. Their personalities have the power to keep things fun and engaging moment to moment, especially when the story itself struggles. They are the main reason this season stays entertaining. Animation The animation is fluid when it’s there, but there’s not enough of it. What’s missing are the small, detailed sequences of building and assembling, the kind of moments that made the first season shine. Too often, it feels like the show skips ahead and just presents the final result rather than showing the process. Music I’ve always loved the Dr. Stone themes, and this season has tracks that are enjoyable even on their own. The only downside is that the music isn’t always used when it matters most. It feels like a missed chance to amplify the drama and emotion. Final Thoughts It might sound like I’m harsh on this season, but I don’t dislike it. Dr. Stone: Science Future is still entertaining, mainly thanks to its cast, who carry the show. The real issues lie in the pacing and the lack of those extra animation touches that make the science come alive. Compared to the first season, it doesn’t quite measure up. For me, that leaves this season sitting in the middle. I enjoyed parts of it, but overall, my feelings are mixed.

Dr. Stone: Science Future introduces a unique and engaging arc with a fresh antagonist who is well-written, complex, and surprisingly likeable—personally one of my favorite villains in the series. The story blends clever strategies, inventive science, and adventurous moments, keeping the narrative exciting. The art style and animation fit the inventive and adventurous tone perfectly, making each scene visually impressive. The characters remain well-rounded, with strengths, flaws, and believable reactions to the challenges they face, and the interactions between them feel natural and entertaining. As usual, the openings, endings, and OST enhance the mood and energy of the series. Fans of shonen, adventure, and smartstorytelling will likely enjoy this season, even if they don’t usually watch anime.

How to summarize it... Well if there is one show where I just let go of my brain, root for characters, get so emotional and have fun it is this one. And I have no idea what it is about it that makes it so. But since beginningI just feel connected, cozy and can't wait for next episode and season and always get excited for it. Even though it is not some over the top writing or whatever. I simply don't care. It is not something that I can say for any other anime lately(mostly they get meh and repeatative after a season). I lovehow the writer doesn't forget to add a bit of every character in a season even though there is a lot of them.

First of all: Why did this show suddenly become fcking racist. Why do all of the 3 new black characters wear collars, while their white boss wants to rule over the world???? Second of all: It's not like Ginrou was already stupid as fuck and annoying as hell, and by far the worst thing in this show, why did we need to get 2nd Ginrou and third Ginrou? (Carlos and Max). Spineless, one dimensional simps with absolutely no redeeming qualities, no character and no importance for the show? Now the real review: I really would give this a better score, but I simply cant. Spoiler: If you already dislikethe usual bad characters, this season will get much worse for you. Dr. Stone started off great in Season 1, and fell off since. The biggest problem is just some weak characters, and them getting worse and worse with time. I never will understand people that like characters like Ginrou, or Zenitsu or other crybabies that add literally nothing to the story, are plain embarrasing, waste screentime, are grating to the ears and straight up make everything worse for the main cast all the time. Not enough, somehow half the cast in Science Future used evolution in the wrong direction, and can only communicate by screaming like fcking idiots. Taiju, Ryusui and Chrome, they all hurt my ears. Luna, Magma and You arent much better, but at least they are somewhat bearable. Even Suika was painful to listen to in the end, I didnt like her Voice in the first season, but after so many episodes, it gets annoying Also, the writing just got worse and worse. The problem with writing very smart characters is that if the story writer gets to tired to think, everything just gets shit as well. Half of the stuff happening was just so incredibly forced and made no sense if you take your time and think for more than 2 cents. In the end, this was just disappointing. Dont get me started on the first 3 episodes of this season, each nearly made me drop the show, but I got so far, I am not stopping now. At least the 2nd half was enjoyable, not lastly because Xeno is at least acting like a real fcking human being (well, a cruel one), allthough it annoys me that it never got explained how he got that much shit this fast with that seeming lack of manpower. I guess he didnt have to fight a stonewar or conquer an island and shit, but what he got with the people he has is still extremely unreasonable. Some things just cant be rushed. There is also absolutely no reason or need to fight everyone else before even talking to them. In the end the entire season gets carried by the fact that the premise of Dr. Stone still is incredibly fun and just a very good idea, they should have kept the pace a bit down and not completely abandon the science part from season for all the shounen crap that you can see in dozens of other mediocre shows. Well, I guess it sells well and a lot of idiots will buy into it. Sad. At least there are still some characters that are just goated and make this actually entertaining, since they are not entirely one dimensional and are actually interesting. Francois, Tsukasa, Senku, Niki, Ukyou, Gen.... I'll watch the next season, just because I want to know how this ends, but I already am fearing for my sanity... Edit: Some typos.

A genius continuation of the last season. Xeno and Stanley are such good villains and i enjoyed a lot of the new characters with the exception of Luna and her fanboys. I'll never get over how much i love the art style for the men of this season, I was licking the screen every time I saw Stanly. Cant say the same for the woman though and Luna was no exception... hate her. We didn't get a ton of character development this season, some continuation of Hyoga accepting the science kingdom as his allies and a bit of kirisame having feelings for kinro (who doesnt)but that's never explored. I think romance has no place in Dr. stone anyways, it's only detracted from scenes. We did get to see Chrome take the lead which was great he really is a science man and who doesn't love seeing Ryussui being more dominant. If you've liked Dr. Stone so far there's no reason you wont love this season, i can hardly wait for the next one :)

Bless my brain, the day it decided to forget we read the Dr. Stone manga. Dr. Stone seasons are always characterized by some kind of race against time, which unleashes all the adrenaline possible. This season's race has been the most exciting yet, because the scientific kingdom finally found a worthy rival. Senkuu and company's strongest weapon has always been science, but what would happen if the rival has the same or greater scientific power than our protagonists? This is precisely the scenario in which this first part of the final season places us. There's little to say about the scientific kingdom; it's full of charismatic characterswho, to a greater or lesser extent, always have something to contribute to the plot. As for Xeno's scientific kingdom, that's where we should focus. Xeno arrives to be Senkuu's greatest antagonist, along with his most faithful ally, Stanley Snider. Both characters truly feel like a threat because they're a perfect combination of intelligence and military strength. This opens up many possibilities to see our characters engaging in aerial combat and seeking out a sniper position. This season, the danger feels real because the odds are even; any misstep, any miscalculation would be fatal for either side of the conflict. Of the new characters, I highlight Luna, the cold, capable woman. Characters who bring some kind of catchphrase with them in this anime, you know they're going to contribute something, whether it's comedy or an internal monologue. Luna, along with her two companions, are a great addition to the comedy this season. Having a naive girl, who believes herself to be a femme fatale, trying to win over Senkuu is a guaranteed laugh regardless of the context. Dr. Stone is a story that I enjoy every episode as if it were the first time I've seen it. I will always be grateful to my memory for giving me this opportunity.

This is all excellent setup to an amazing clash between scientists for control over the future of humanity itself. The challenge that this season presents to Senku in particular is pretty unprecedented, in that he's fighting not just someone from his own time, but a person who is (potentially) his intellectual superior who has had plenty of time on his hands to prepare for other humans to arrive. He and his allies, particularly Stanley, are ready to go to war and are easily better equipped to win this fight, wielding a broad assortment of firearms, airplanes, submarines, and the manufacturing capacity to meet the momentwherever they need to. Senku and crew have equipped themselves decently well, but they're not at the level to be able to challenge these new foes. That makes this a very distinct battle from the rest we've faced so far, whether that was a society of warriors led by an erstwhile classmate or an island run by corrupt natives who have only a limited concept of what technology is and how it works. It helps that this is also an existential fight, and not just one over motivations, but one over access to essential resources and the capabilities to use them to revive all of mankind. Dr. Xeno really shines this season, as does Stanley. It's incredible that, after so many seasons introducing incredibly imposing characters from a physical standpoint, they feel immediately outclassed and it makes sense that they are. Much like in previous seasons, this becomes a race to outthink the enemy, but it feels more pressing this season. There's less of a sense that any single invention or modification will solve for the challenge they're facing as well, and with the group often split up, there's more of a sense that everyone's contributing to their actions. Really, the main thing holding this season back is that it really does still feel like a lot of this conflict is in its early stages, which, as a manga reader, I know it is. I fully expect the next part to be my favorite in the whole series, but for now, I'm satisfied with the setup.

This season of Dr. Stone feels different from what we have seen before, but that makes sense since the story keeps progressing in terms of technologies and plot. Senku & friends travel to another continent, America, where they are met with people who have been depetrified. Unfortunately, those people have their own agenda and don't welcome strangers who would only interfere with their objectives. They will launch attacks on our protagonists and a battle between scientists ensues. The reason Dr. Stone: Science Future feels different is because, to me, it feels like there is less sciences than the previous seasons. At least, not the same sciencesas we have seen previously. The characters have to survive and defend themselves against technologies they don't yet have. The dynamic of this season is different but it is still as good. A little change is great when it makes sense, which it does here. That said, this season of Dr. Stone is still as funny as the other ones. I'd even say Senku gets crazier and crazier (in a good Senku way). He always surprises us with his choices and will never give up, no matter what happens to him. That guy loves sciences too much, and he will prove he can and will win. The plot with Why-man has not been addressed or mentioned in this season but it did not bother me because this is a step they needed to take in order to get closer to that mysterious person. It does not feel like filler as it has a purpose and they need it to be able to make their plan work and to keep progressing and moving forward. All in all, it was a great season, with lots of funny moments, lots of action, and a few plot twists that were amazing. It gathered everything I loved from the previous seasons, and I had an incredible time. In fact, I had so much fun that it felt like the episodes were shorter. I was not bored once. So, for everything I've just mentioned, it deserves a 10 out of 10. Thank you, Senku! Sciences is elegant.

I really like this arc of the story and it was nice to revisit it now that the manga ended. I think the anime did a good job with the material. All of the best scenes and favorite scenes were there. I wasn't left disappointed or in wanting of anything. I was surprised at the ending point, but I think it's been long enough I just am not remember how much has to happen for us to get to the point I thought this season would end at. There were of course some flaws, but they were flaws that were already there from the manga(some character designs are questionable, the whole colonialist mindset, etc...etc...) but I knew about them going in and so I just paid more attention to the aspects and parts I liked more. If you've been enjoying Dr. Stone so far, then you'll likely enjoy this part. If you think Dr. Stone is growing stale, please give this part a chance because it helps shake things up. This is definitely a recommended season from me. I would say if this isn't for you, you've probably already weeded yourself out of the audience at this point.

Dr. Stone is back and better than ever in science future. Senku and the crew face their greatest threat yet, some of the biggest stakes and we’re finally outside of Japan and exploring the new world. This season has everything we’ve come to know and love from this franchise turned up to 10. The banter, the action and the scientific inventions but it’s even better this time around because of the fact we’ve got someone that can stand on equal footing with Senku as an antagonist. In previous seasons, Senku may have had physical disadvantages in a fight, but he was always the smartest inthe room. Xeno represents the greatest challenge Senku has had to face in the stone world and can match his intellect if not surpass it. It’s so fun seeing the two of them trade proverbial scientific jabs, going invention for invention and revolutionising the stone world. If you liked the idea of Dr. Stone, but found things a bit too convenient for Senku before, I think you’ll enjoy this season of Dr. Stone as we see him actually pushed and forced to rely on other kingdom of science members more! What’s really cool about this season of Dr. Stone is how we get to see two brilliant minds’ very different approaches to science. While Senku is very much in the business of using science for good, to restore the world to its former glory if not even better. Xeno is cruel, calculated and wants to weaponize science to bring people to heel. I found this philosophical battle between two people who were once close allies before the petrification incident to be really cool. Both approaches allowed the Kingdom of Science and Xeno’s empire to take huge leaps forward in technological advancement, but the priorities were different with Xeno’s being more military focused and Senku’s being more quality of life focused. It’s almost as if it’s a philosophical debate on the character of humans. Do we need to focus on weapons and killing each other, or should we prioritise making life better for each other? As the battle heats up, we see Senku and Xeno constantly trying to one up each other and every episode feels like it leaves off on a reverse uno move with one side temporarily gaining the advantage. This was exhilarating to watch. The side characters for both sides were very clutch in this season. Senku and Xeno might be geniuses, but they can’t do it all alone. Chrome, Ryusui, Tsukasa, Taiju and the new Luna all shined for Senku’s side and I’m a huge fan of Luna who was introduced from Xeno’s side and quickly became one of my favourite characters. Production values are always solid in Dr. Stone and this season is no exception, but some of the more hype moments look even better than usual. Voice acting as usual is top notch and they know how to keep us on the edge of our seats with direction. Those damn cliffhangers! No brainer to watch this if you’ve been into the series from the start and if you’re new, this is certainly something to look forward to. I can’t wait to see how the studio adapt some of the future parts of this arc as we’re really not even at its peak yet. Trust me when I say the best is yet to come for Dr. Stone. Science Future gets 9 out of 10.

Dr. Stone: Science Future — Let's get ready to enter the future of the Stone Age, one cour at a time! It's been 5.5 years since mangaka Riichiro Inagaki's Dr. Stone started featuring on the small screen, which was one of Weekly Shonen Jump's top performers when it was still in serialization. Still, to this day, the series continues to be even more popular thanks to the anime boosting sales along after the manga reached its conclusion way back in March 2022. That's the staying power of such an influential work that is rarely seen in WSJ's lineup nowadays. But back to the anime: after the initialstart and the arcs of Stone Wars and New World, we're finally at Season 4, the endgame of the final arc of the series, where Senku and the gang from the Kingdom of Science, now bigger than ever, traverse outside of Japan for the very first time into international land, sea, and air. Reaching Why-Man is just as important when they hear that he hails from space, but since they don't have the resources to do so, the outside is their only starting point... as the looming danger greets them of the first antagonist they encounter: former NASA scientist Dr. Xeno Houston Wingfield and someone whom Senku regards as his closest frenemy in terms of incoming trouble thus far. He, along with the few others who make up the American Colony team, is unlike those of Ibara's Petrification Kingdom the season prior, with their high advancement in technology that far outpaces what Senku and the Kingdom of Science have been doing all this while. They will not be an easy feat to overcome, but this is the accumulation of the scenario thus far for the 1st Cour here. As they say, "Leave the best for last," and this is where TMS Entertainment and Season 3 director Kurasumi Sunayama once again team up to give Dr. Stone the consistent shine that it always has deserved for the last 5 years and more going into the 2nd and 3rd cours as we slowly witness the epic finale to the entire Stone World saga. And when it comes to OP/ED songs, ALI is back with a renewed tour de force of an OP song, and hip-hop boy band BREIMEN's 1st Anisong is a great follow-up to the casino gambling features of the season (most promptly featured in the 1st quarter of the 1st Cour). What more could you ask of Dr. Stone's popularity being as great as it is and willing to expand even more? This is only the start of the Science Future finale because Dr. Senku is not done with his quest yet to find Why-Man, and so are we anime-onlies too in watching this epic saga unfold for an adventure that's larger than life. See you in July for the 2nd Cour!
